"Room" is the median asking rent for one bedroom in a shared flat. "Left" is the midpoint of the salaries posted for that city minus a default monthly budget: shared room, cooking four nights a week, eating out three times, two coffees, one night out, a gym membership and utilities. Open a city to change every one of those assumptions.
